Top 3 Stops in Downtown St. Joseph, Minnesota

St. Joseph, Minnesota

St. Joseph, home to the College of St. Benedict a Catholic Women’s University has a quaint downtown with some great local shops. The coffee shop, the Local Blend, is amazing. We stopped in for a muffin and loved it. They were so friendly and accommodating.

We love the cozy artsy atmosphere. It is fun to just sit and hang out.

Their baked goods are devine!

The locals drive for miles to shop at the St. Joseph Meat Market. They sure know their meats. Not only that, they sometimes offer treats for the kids while you are waiting for your meat to be packaged. They do have some pre-packaged meats, but most of it is fresh and delicious. The kids absolutely love their hot dogs. My grandpa used to plan entire trips around going to this meat market to get smoked sausage. It is always a hit. You won’t go wrong grabbing some hot dogs on your way through or beef jerky for the trail.

It may look like a typical store from the outside, but the meat inside is fantastic!

There are lots of great little shops, but one of my favorites is the Minnesota Street Market, a locally grown food co-op. Their produce is always fresh and amazing. They have unique items that are hard to find elsewhere.
